For many years, the senpolia remains one of the favorite plants in indoor floriculture. The most popular among them are varieties with terry petals, painted in unusual colors. Violet Amadeus fully fits this description.

What does the violet CM-Amadeus Pink look like

Like all indoor violets, Amadeus belongs to the Gesneriev family. Variety saintpaulia Amadeus Morev is a modern hybrid, bred by amateur breeder Konstantin Morev in 2012. The prefix "SM" in the name of the plant means nothing more than "Morev's seedling." Pink, in turn, is a literal translation of the color of the petals.

Amadeus flowers look very unusual

The rosette of the flower is quite sprawling (up to 40 cm), consists of long petioles on which large, juicy-green fleecy leafy plates are attached. The flowers reach 6 cm in diameter, saturated pink with a white border along the corrugated edge.

It is interesting! As the bud opens, the color of the petals is highlighted.

Variety RS-Amadeus

The variety Amadeus has a variety, in the name of which instead of the letters "SM" the abbreviation "RS" is indicated. This suggests that the authorship belongs to another breeder - Repkina Svetlana.

Her hybrid is similar to the plant described except for the shape of the flowers - they are also large and double. But the color of the petals of Amadeus RS is deep purple, without a hint of white bordering.

Features of caring for Amadeus violet at home

Senpolias are appreciated by flower growers for their unpretentiousness. But even minimal care for Amadeus has its own subtleties.

Temperature

Violet Fairy - description and characteristics of the variety

The temperature in the room where the violet is located should not fall below 18 ° C. The upper, maximum permissible mark of 30 ° C. In this case, there should not be too sharp temperature differences or drafts, otherwise the flower may become sick.

Lighting

Violets need diffused lighting with a sufficiently long daylight - up to 12 hours.

It is better to place a flower pot with a plant on the windowsill on the west or east side. If this is not possible and the flower had to be placed on the south window, then shading should be taken into account.

Attention! When located on the northern windowsill, the flowerpot must be additionally highlighted with a special lamp.

Watering

The flower is watered under the root, trying not to fall on the leaves. The procedure is carried out 1-2 times a week, depending on the season. Only water at room temperature is suitable for this.

Note! It is recommended to use the method of "lower watering": fill a wide tray with water by 2-3 cm and lower the cache-pot with senpolia for 20-30 minutes so that the substrate absorbs the required amount of moisture.

Spraying

Moisture on leaves is contraindicated for the Senpoly, as the flower may simply rot. In case of accidental ingress of water on parts of the plant, drops should be carefully removed with a cotton pad.

Humidity

With insufficient humidity in the room, plants can curl and fade leaves. To increase this indicator, it is recommended to install an open tray with pebbles filled with water near the flower.

Priming

Soil for violets can be purchased in a specialized store or compiled independently. At the same time, the following proportions are observed:

  • 3 parts of the earth;
  • 1 part peat;
  • 1 part of drainage material.

Perlite or vermicult will make the soil breathable

All components must be decontaminated with a potassium permanganate solution.

Top dressing

Amadeus must be fertilized at least once every 2 weeks, not counting the dormant period. In the spring, the flower is fed with nitrogen-containing compounds, and closer to the beginning of flowering - potassium-phosphorus preparations.

Attention! All fertilizers are applied strictly in accordance with the recommendations on the packaging.

When and how it blooms

Compliance with the conditions of detention allows violets to bloom almost year-round. Variety Amadeus Pink also has a tendency to prolonged and plentiful flowering.

Rosa Pink Floyd (Pink Floyd) - characteristics of the variety

Amadeus Pink flowers consist of many terry petals arranged in tiers. The edges of the petals are highly corrugated. The first corolla at the beginning of flowering may have a less wavy edge, but the petals of subsequent buds are twisted more and more.

The flowering period of Amadeus can reach 9-10 months per year. Withered inflorescences give way to new buds, due to which a magnificent cap of flowers is constantly kept above the outlet.

Changes in flowering care

During flowering, the plant is regularly fed to prolong the process of setting new buds.

Attention! Rearrange the flower to another place, changing the lighting and temperature, is not recommended.

How the senpolia Amadeus Morev breeds

Violet Radiant bell - variety description

The variety Amadeus can be propagated in several ways, common to all senpolia. These include:

  • cuttings;
  • germination of the cut sheet;
  • rooting of stepchildren;
  • division of the outlet;
  • sowing seeds.

Most often, Amadeus is propagated by cuttings.

To germinate the cuttings with a sharp disinfected tool, cut the sheet, dip it into crushed activated carbon and place it in a container of water at room temperature. Water is changed daily until the roots appear. After this, the young plant can be rooted in the ground.

Transplant after purchase and during reproduction

After buying a new violet, it is recommended to transplant it immediately. The exception is cases when the flower is in the process of flowering. In this case, you should wait until the flower completes the formation of buds, and before that try to create the most favorable conditions.

Transplant the plant into a suitable soil. The pot is selected low and not too wide - not more than the size of the outlet. If at the same time the flower is divided into several outlets for the purpose of reproduction, then this rule applies to each new instance.

Important! The plant should be moved by transshipment to avoid damage to the root system.

Possible problems in growing

The cause of the painful state of senpolia is most often a violation of the conditions of detention and care. To understand that something is not in order, you can carefully observe the condition of the flower.

  • Leaf problems

Amadeus leaves may turn yellow or stain. As a rule, this indicates the need to transplant the plant. Also, perhaps, he needs shelter from sunlight, a reduction in the dosage of fertilizers applied, or treatment from pests.

  • Pests

The main enemies of the senpolia are ticks, scale insects and nematodes. From each type of insect, the flower is treated with the corresponding acaricide, following the instructions on the package.

Amadeus blooms profusely when properly maintained

  • Disease

When growing Amadeus, you can encounter gray rot, powdery mildew, rust and late blight. After the correct determination of the disease, treatment should be started immediately, otherwise the flower will have to be thrown away.

  • Signs of improper care

Amadeus cares for flowers due to irregularities in care. They can also fade, the leaves of the plant begin to curl, fade, turn yellow or dry. Sometimes there may be a lack of flowering. Faced with such phenomena, it is important to understand the cause and get rid of it.
